About the Speaker:
Father Mike Carson serves as the Assistant Director of the Secretariat of Cultural Diversity in the Church at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). In his role at the USCCB's Native American office, Father Carson has been instrumental in fostering dialogue and understanding between the Catholic Church and Indigenous communities.
This framework represents a significant commitment by the Church to strengthen its relationship with Native American Catholics and communities. Father Carson brings a wealth of experience in cross-cultural ministry and has been particularly dedicated to advancing Indigenous Catholic ministry throughout the United States. He has worked extensively to develop and implement the pastoral framework, which aims to address the spiritual and cultural needs of Native American Catholics, while honoring their rich traditions and heritage.
